My name is Nina Russo and I am an aspiring photographer. Photography is something I was always interested in but got serious about it in 2008 when I received my first Digital SLR camera as a gift. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for creating art with my camera. Photographs have always been a cherished possession for me and I want to create these captured memories for others. Right now I am practicing and learning as much as I can. I would love to do a free photo shoot for you or someone you know. Just contact me for more info! (ninaruphoto@gmail.com) Hope you enjoy this little space for me to show off my photos!!

Cullen Downtown

I had a blast photographing this adorable little guy on my trip to North Carolina. With Historic Downtown Fayetteville as our backdrop it was easy to find fun little nooks to take photos in. They are some of my favorite photos yet and with the help of the wonderful, Heather Whitten ( HeatherWhittenPhotography ) I was able to use new photoshop skills she taught me to process them. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Thanks to Kim for letting me use her gorgeous child as a model!!

Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse

While checking my e-mail one day I noticed a story about the upcoming lunar eclipse. After finding out there wouldn't be another one like it until 2094, which I won't be able to see unless I find the fountain of youth or get bitten by one of those twilight people, I knew I had to stay up and shoot it. So December 20th rolled around. I got my tripod and my camera and a big cup of Swiss Miss in my favorite thermal cup and went outside to watch the show. I quickly realized I came out wayyyy too early! Strike one. I called up my friend Rachel in North Carolina and we had a phone date while we stared at the sky waiting for something to happen. Then my battery died. Strike two. After running back into the house for my charger and more hot chocolate I retreated to my car and turned up the heat while watching through the sun roof. And then it finally happened. I glanced up and noticed a tiny sliver of the moon was getting darker! After that it all went by really fast. I went back and forth between the car and my lawnchair snapping a shot between each trip. After the moon was about 3/4 gone the red glow started. It was gorgeous and definitely made staying up late worth it! It made me even happier how many friends who missed this beautiful sight got to enjoy my photos. Nothing makes me happier :) If you didn't catch them a few weeks ago I hope you enjoy them now! Happy Winter everyone!!

Happy *1st* Birthday!!

I had the best time shooting my nephew for his first birthday!! My sister is home in Florida while her hubby is deployed so we got to spend his birthday together. This is my second indoor shoot with a little "makeshift" studio. It was a challenge but so much fun! He was not the biggest fan of getting covered in cake but it was our attempt at a cake "smash" :) Enjoy!!

Michelle & Edgar's Wedding

I can't tell you how scary it was thinking about shooting my first wedding, all by myself, out there alone! I had nightmares about forgetting my equipment, broken memory cards, even wedding tornados (dreams can be weird, what can I say?) But it went off without a hitch, everything went very smoothly. I am so happy Michelle & Edgar trusted me with their special day. I guess I trusted them with my life the day with the tigers so we are kind of even now. : ) I took A LOT of photos. I am going to try and pick out my favorites to post on here. The quality seems to be a little better then on facebook. But feel free to check out the rest of them on my facebook fan page!! Congratulations again guys!!!!
