Just messing around on ps with some pictures from yesterday. :o)

Fort Lauderdale Beach

Went down to Fort Lauderdale today around 3:30. It rained for about 20 minutes but as soon as it cleared up I knew I picked the right time to come down. The shots came out beautiful and the lighting was perfect not to mention the sunset and the colors. So once again I went overboard picking out my favorites and chose 21. I need to learn to be more critical of how many I choose :o) Hope you enjoy!!

Renaissance Festival

Today I went to the Renaissance Festival with my sister and got some great shots. There were so many photographers there, I even ran into one I knew :o) Please forgive all the photos, I got a little carried away!! Enjoy!

Joanna's Maternity Shoot - June '09

On my trip to Tennessee for my sister Joanna's baby shower I had to take advantage of the opportunity to take some Maternity photos. These were my favorites from the hundreds we took plus some more personal ones that I won't post online. :o) She was very happy with them and I hope Ethan enjoys looking at them when he's old enough to know that's him in there.

I'm about to purchase Photoshop CS4 but before I did I downloaded the free trial... Here's just a few things I've edited so for. I have SO MUCH to learn!! I'm ordering this week and I've already ordered a book on. Reading has become my best friend when it comes to learning about photography. Here they are:

Okay so my blog looked sad with no pictures so I picked one of my favorie shots to fix the problem. :o)

My new blog!

I created this blog as a place to share my photographs as I venture into this new career in photography. In December I moved from North Carolina back to my hometown of Coral Springs, Florida. I am in my 4th week of a photography class I enrolled in through the Broward County Community School. It's been helpful but I found that reading and practicing are what has taught me the most. The entertainment company, Elegant Occasions, who my family has used in the past have been helping and mentoring me also. They are giving me a great opportunity to gain some experience by taking me along on their photo shoots. I haven't found my place in the photography world yet, whether it be portraits, event photography, etc. but I'd like as much experience as I can get.
