My name is Nina Russo and I am an aspiring photographer. Photography is something I was always interested in but got serious about it in 2008 when I received my first Digital SLR camera as a gift. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for creating art with my camera. Photographs have always been a cherished possession for me and I want to create these captured memories for others. Right now I am practicing and learning as much as I can. I would love to do a free photo shoot for you or someone you know. Just contact me for more info! (ninaruphoto@gmail.com) Hope you enjoy this little space for me to show off my photos!!
Thanks to my sister Joanna word got around that I was offering free shoots as a means of practice and through a chain of people I was connected with Michelle & Edgar who just happened to be looking for a photographer for their wedding. They are getting married in June and I am happy to say they will be my first bride and groom and I am honored to be trusted with photographing their special day :) On our first meeting we discussed engagement photos and they asked my thoughts about shooting with "live animals". Of course, I was thinking they wanted to take pictures with their dog or maybe a cat or two but they had other plans. It turns out that friends of theirs have a beautiful wildlife preserve in Homestead, FL (check them out at ) We headed down there and I had the amazing opportunity of shooting them with four beautiful tigers and one adorable (and very large) lion. They were wonderful animals and very professional models. :) I was amazed at how sweet and loving they all were. It really was an amazing experience. I have a lot of work to do on the photos but I couldn't help but post a few for a little sneak preview :) Hope you enjoy!!
I met Danny Tiger when I was in 8th grade and he was the new guy at school who was dating my best friend. We spent many nights as underage high school students with nothing to do hanging out at his mom's house listening to music or sitting around the hot tub. Not much has changed since then :) It's hard to believe we have known each other for so long... 10 years!! Wow we are getting old!! But even way back then I saw how talented he was and knew that if anyone was going to make me say "I knew him before he was famous" it was him :) So now he is in this awesome band called Ellacassette and they are pretty fantastic. I took these at their band practice a few nights ago. Also the first night with my new flash :) Hope you enjoy!!!!
I planned a trip to visit my sister and nephew in Tennessee while her husband was deployed. Lucky for her he got to come home for a couple of weeks and it happened to be whie I was there so we got to do a few family shots. I can never take enough pictures of my nephew. I think I took 1,200 over eight days I was there. I picked a few of my favorites to post. And when I say a few I mean 17 :D Hope you (and my sister) enjoy them!!
I just came back from a lengthy vacation. First to Tennessee to visit my sister, brother-in-law and nephew and then to North Carolina to visit some friends. While I was there I got to see my friend Sarah and take a few shots of her and her adorable son. Unfortunately when I got back I got sick and have been feeling terrible for the last week and hadn't had a chance to go through the photos. So here you go Sarah!! I picked a couple of my favorites and I'll be sending you the rest. I hope you enjoy them! Can't wait to take family portraits for you guys in July!
